NATO Phonetic Alphabet - Daily Practice Email

In a previous post I discussed a website I created for learning and practicing the NATO phonetic alphabet for use in radio and telephone communication.

Recently I've added a feature to the site so people can subscribe to receive a daily practice email. Each day an email arrives with a random word in the subject line, (E.g., "Practice phonetic spelling word: INDEBTEDNESS"). The recipient tries to spell the word out loud, speaking the phonetic equivalent for each letter in the word. Then opening the email they can read the correct solution.

Because this is a skill that can decay without regular use, getting a brief moment of practice every day helps keep the skill fresh.
