2FA Authenticator for Linux
EasyAuth is a 2FA secrets manager and TOTP generator for the desktop with a focus on ease of use for beginners.
Since I seldom use a smartphone and often don't have it with me I prefer to use a desktop application for authentication. The only one I could find for Linux had a horrible UI, so I wrote my own.
EasyAuth is a desktop application that helps you login to a website or online service that uses two-factor authentication (2FA). EasyAuth stores the secret keys that websites provide when you enroll in two-factor authentication and then generates the one-time passcodes that you use to verify your identity.
Here's my pitch:
- It’s quicker and less hassle than other 2FA methods or applications.
- Since it’s a desktop application it doesn’t require a smartphone or a cell connection.
- It doesn’t require manually typing verification codes.
- It’s free and open-source software without advertising or tracking.
